Chicago Public Schools Stakeholder Engagement Report
In my role at Vera Creative, I led the development of a comprehensive stakeholder feedback report for Chicago Public Schools, focusing on early grades (Pre-K through 2nd grade) to inform the district’s New District Policy for Continuous Improvement and Data Transparency.
My work included analyzing four rounds of focus group data and distributing a survey, capturing qualitative and quantitative feedback from 1,018 stakeholders, including families, educators, and school leaders. I analyzed the insights to identify key indicators of school quality and translated them into actionable recommendations.
The resulting report, spanning 146 pages, provided a deep, data-driven understanding of early grade needs, ensuring that the youngest students’ perspectives were meaningfully represented in policy planning. My contribution supported CPS in refining accountability measures, improving stakeholder engagement, and prioritizing early childhood education initiatives.
The Julian Grace Foundation Market Research
In my role at Vera Creative, I conducted comprehensive market research for the Julian Grace Foundation, a Chicago-based philanthropic organization focused on high-engagement grant-making and social justice initiatives. My research included an in-depth competitive analysis of similar philanthropic organizations, examining their digital marketing strategies, audiences, and competitors. Through a SWOT analysis, I assessed the organization's strengths and identified key differentiators and opportunities for the foundation to enhance visibility within the competitive nonprofit landscape.
I developed detailed audience personas representing current grantees, prospective partners, and emerging philanthropists, providing actionable insights into their goals, communication preferences, and pain points. Based on these findings, I provided strategic recommendations aimed at expanding digital presence, streamlining grant processes through CRM implementation, enhancing public relations efforts, and fostering collaborative partnerships to maximize social impact. This research provided a clear roadmap for increasing awareness, attracting younger demographics, and positioning leadership as thought leaders in the philanthropic space.
Cubs Charities Market Research & Digital Audit
In my role at Vera Creative, I conducted a comprehensive digital audit and strategic analysis for Cubs Charities, the philanthropic arm of the Chicago Cubs, to assess their marketing effectiveness and identify opportunities for increased engagement and donor conversion.
My audit evaluated their email marketing campaigns, analyzing tone, content hierarchy, and calls-to-action to determine where design elements and storytelling could be strengthened. I identified opportunities to replace generic CTAs with compelling, action-driven language and recommended incorporating youth testimonials and video content to bring programs to life. The social media assessment examined performance across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, revealing patterns of engagement.
I outlined detailed audience segmentation, identifying three key groups: existing and potential donors, Cubs fans and community members, and media stakeholders– including their goals, values, engagement preferences, and pathways to support. Through competitive analysis of similar MLB foundation programs, I identified positioning opportunities and industry best practices.
