Overview
The Monument to Women Veterans, founded in 2011, is dedicated to honoring and empowering women veterans and active military members through community outreach and awareness initiatives. When I began working with the organization, they were developing a museum and monument in Pensacola, Florida, and required a comprehensive marketing strategy to raise awareness, engage supporters, and secure funding.
I led the development of the organization’s brand and visual identity, designed and authored the website, and created a sponsor and investor pitch deck to support fundraising initiatives. I also produced print collateral, including brochures and banners, and authored a press release that was featured in the Pensacola News Journal, amplifying public visibility and public engagement. By aligning all marketing assets under a cohesive strategy, I helped strengthen the organization’s presence, attract key stakeholders, and position the museum and monument projects for long-term success.
Brand & Identity
As part of establishing a cohesive visual identity for the Monument to Women Veterans, I developed a brand concept inspired by the military symbolism of “carrying the torch”, a representation of continuing a legacy, mission, and values from one generation to the next, emphasizing perseverance, continuity, and service.
The brand incorporates stars as a recurring motif, referencing military ranks and paying homage to the organization’s mission. I also developed the color palette, integrating red, white, and blue with vibrant gold accents to convey strength, honor, and pride. This approach provides a versatile framework for use across digital, print, and environmental marketing assets.

Website Design & Content
I designed and developed a user-centered website for the Monument to Women Veterans, translating the organization’s mission and values into a compelling digital experience. The site was designed to increase digital awareness, highlight key programs, and drive donations, serving as both an educational resource and a hub for engagement.
Beyond design, I led the content strategy and copywriting, developing messaging that balanced emotional resonance with clarity, effectively communicating the organization’s purpose while motivating action. By aligning content, visuals, and functionality, the website became a cohesive tool that amplifies the organization’s mission and positions the Monument to Women Veterans for long-term digital impact.

National Training Center Pitch Deck
To support the expansion of the Monument to Women Veterans into veteran services, training, and education, I authored and designed a comprehensive 22-slide fundraising presentation for the Center for Strategic Military Excellence (CSME) National Training and Visitor Center. This deck served as a critical tool for securing investment from private stakeholders, government entities, and community partners.
I crafted a data-driven narrative that positioned the project as both a mission-driven initiative and a strategic economic opportunity, integrating labor statistics and veteran employment data to demonstrate how the training center would address workforce shortages while serving over 200,000 transitioning veterans annually. The design strikes a balance between professionalism and accessibility, creating clear information hierarchies that distill complex partnerships, architectural plans, and financial projections into persuasive, digestible content.

Trifold Brochure
I designed and wrote a tri-fold brochure that served as a leave-behind piece for stakeholder meetings and community outreach events. This print collateral needed to communicate the Monument to Women Veterans' dual mission, honoring women's military service while providing career training resources, in a compact, visually compelling format.
I crafted copy that explained the monument's design by sculptor Elizabeth MacQueen, the museum's historical significance, and the national training center's vocational rehabilitation and job placement services. The design strategically organizes information, ensuring key messages about the training programs are prominently featured. This brochure became an essential tool for the organization's fundraising efforts and public awareness campaigns.

Banner Design
I designed a series of retractable and hanging banners to support the Monument to Women Veterans' presence at community events, fundraising galas, and public presentations. The design strategy prioritized readability at scale, using high-contrast color schemes and oversized typography that could be absorbed in seconds.
I incorporated the organization's branding elements across all banner formats while adapting layouts to suit different viewing distances and installation contexts. These banners became versatile marketing assets that enhanced the organization's credibility at public events and created an immersive branded environment at their physical locations.
